The Story Behind the Restoration

For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping women care for their hair, feel beautiful, and build confidence.

What began behind the salon chair eventually became something much deeper.

Over the years, I realized that the conversations happening in my chair were often about more than hair. Women were navigating change, confidence, disappointment, identity, transitions, and the process of becoming. At the same time, God was using my own experiences to teach me many of those same lessons.

My journey has included beauty, business, motherhood, healing, loss, rebuilding, faith, obedience, and becoming; and through it all, one message continued to become clearer:

Restoration goes beyond the surface.

From Beauty to Restoration

I began my career in the beauty industry helping women look and feel their best. As my knowledge and experience grew, so did my desire to understand what was happening beneath the surface.

That led me deeper into healthy hair care, scalp health, hair loss, and hair restoration.

Today, I bring together more than two decades of experience as a beauty professional with specialized education in hair and scalp restoration to help women better understand their hair, make informed decisions, and create healthier paths forward, but my work no longer stops at the crown.

The Woman Behind The Branded Beauty

My own journey taught me that you can look confident on the outside while still trying to understand who you are on the inside.

For years, so much of my identity was connected to the roles I carried: the hairstylist, salon owner, mother, entrepreneur, and the woman everyone else needed me to be.

Healing challenged me to look beyond those titles.

I began learning that identity is not simply what I do, but it was also rooted in who God created me to be.

That journey became the foundation for my book, The Branded Beauty: A Journey of Identity, Healing, and Becoming Who God Called Me to Be.

The Branded Beauty is more than a book to me. It represents the message that our stories, experiences, gifts, and even the places that once hurt us can become part of how God shapes and uses us.

Bringing It All Together

For a long time, I saw my gifts and experiences as separate pieces.

Hair.

Business.

Teaching.

Writing.

Mentorship.

Faith.

Now I understand that they were never meant to compete with one another, but they are all part of the same assignment.

Today, Divine Images by Shannon is a restoration brand centered around three areas:

Hair Restoration — helping women understand and restore the health of their hair and scalp.

Identity — encouraging women to heal, rediscover who they are, and become who God created them to be.

Mentorship — helping beauty professionals grow beyond the chair, strengthen their confidence, clarify their vision, and use their gifts with intention.
